I thing i'll take back about Wolverine's appearance in Apocalypse.

So the next X-Men will be a sequel to the new timeline before future Logan awakes and remember his time travel in Days of Future Past

Everybody I did not know they had plans to make a X- Force movie since last year featuring Cable. They do not know if they are still going to make it because of the Xmen Apocalypse movie that is coming out in 2016.

10 X-Men Days of Future Past Minor Fan-boy gripes and Nitpicks.

First off let me say I LOVED DoFP! 2nd best X-film after X2 for me personally. The fact that this movie had to tie 6 other movies continuities together and that they DIDN'T completely mess it up while fixing mistakes of the past is still an unbelievable feat IMO. That said I do have a few gripes where I wish they chose a different route. Some are minor others are a bit larger but in the big picture none of them came close to souring a pretty fantastic time at the theater. Felt like getting them off my chest nonetheless and thought I'd see what people think
spoilers!!!
10. Sunspot = Human torch? Sunspot is my favorite in the New Mutants X-books.They didn't want to give his super strength, I'm fine with that but if all he's going to do is shoot fire/fly could he at least have his signature black/yellow look instead of looking like the human torches stunt double? I know you're desperate for FF interest fox but sacrificing Roberto's unique look isn't the way to do it.

9. Sentinels don't Speak....Cm'on who doesn't miss the 90's cartoon monotone Sentinel talk: Surrender Mutant! Terminate! 1 line was all I was wanted. Maybe a tad goofy but I don't care.

8. Trask already has mutant detecting technology...so why does he need giant killer robots? Isn't his little hand held mutant pointer device 1 BILLION times more practical and applicable to military forces approaching threats than City Destroying giant robots?

7. Let's not try to recruit the super speedster who could end this whole pesky assassination plot in a blink of an eye. It's not like our entire future is riding on this one moment in time. Speaking of which..

6. Why the heck did they need magneto to stop Mystique? Had they not broken him out they could have easily stopped her. Ian Mckellen told Logan he'd need him to find/stop her when he A didn't know where she was and B could've guessed that his younger rasher self would just immediately go for the kill shot on her. Unless that was older Magneto's intention all along was to get them to free his younger self so he could kill mystique in which case that's actually kind of brilliant and shows Old magneto is still the same old ends justify the means character. So possibly not a gripe?

5. Killed off Azazel, Riptide, Angel, Banshee, Emma & deported Havok. So you're telling me the only Mutant recruited in first class that will actually make/do anything with the team is Beast? Darwin/banshee/angel dead, Mystique turned assassin, Beast pushing drugs and Havok MIA in all future movies so I'm guessing dead. Bang up job there Xavier. Only slightly better than your first crack at Krakoa (reference for the comic fans there)

4. Mystique re-tread. The scene where she steals from trask is almost identical to when she steals from Deathstrike in X2 and unmorphs for no reason. She also gets 2 scenes of her wire work Martial arts that seem kinda old as she's done those tricks in X1, x2 and (albeit limited) X3. can a different mutant please get an action/infiltration scene now? PLEASE? I don't know maybe I'm alone here.

3. Cyclops still comes off like a dick. He has 3 lines, It's his proper farewell that he deserved and they still have to make him out to be kind of a jerk. Instead of just being confused by Wolverine saying he's glad to see him it seemed to me like they made him out to be a bit of an a-hole about it as he dismissed him. Yes I know Wolverine just tried to touch Jean but was that really the last impression we had to give of Cyclops before they retire him until the 2020 or whenever inevitable reboot?

2. Bring to the Action forefront Colossus, blink, warpath, sunspot, and Bishop and give them no lines of dialogue of value other than "SENTINELS!" each others names and "AAARRGG!" Anyone who didn't know who they were I can't imagine felt much as they were torn/stabbed/burnt/shattered apart when they were given the scantest amount of time possible for them to do anything other than stand guard or be slaughtered.

1. Didn't kill off Wolverine. The image of Wolverine being engulfed and vaporized by a giant sentinel Beam is the most iconic image of Days of Future past for me. I know for story reasons Wolverine didn't fight any of the future sentinels and that Warpaths death kind of homaged it but it still was kind of a disappointment to not be able to be truer in recreating such a classic moment from the comics. When else are you going to get the chance? Plus maybe wolverine as an adamantium skeleton just lying there would actually fool SOMEONE out there into thinking that he has the ability to die.

Went on for a bit longer than intended. Would love to hear what people think.

Liked it a lot but didn't totally love it, mainly because of your nitpicks 6 and 7. They never made clear why they needed Magneto, and Fassbender's outstanding acting aside (which really resembled Ian McKellen's!), the character was subsequently used in exactly the same way as in X1, X2, X3 and Origins, which made his part rather boring and annoying to me.

The characters in the past were moving around without doing much. When Wolverine thought of Quicksilver, it seemed only obvious that he would recruit a team of X-Men in the past; he would know exactly who would be useful and where to look for them. But, as you pointed out, Quicksilver was sent back home for no reason given.

I wasn't too keen on how this movie invalidates all other X-movies. The fact that Scott and Jean were shown alive at the end already signified that X3 never happened, X2 might have happened but why would it - Xavier had scanned Logan's mind so he would know to prepare for Stryker's attack. And what about last year's 'the Wolverine', where Logan started out being depressed largely because of what happened to Jean? Never happened. A bit too drastic IMO. (Sure, X3 got a bit messy here and there and the series with especially some parts of that film might have benefited from a little 'fixing', but overall I still liked it, as I did with the other movies.)

I also didn't really like how Shadowcat could suddenly phase people's minds through time. They might have simply used another character for that (Blink or Bishop, or Rachel maybe). I'm fine with not staying close to the source material (completely impossible and would often make for things that movie-audiences wouldn't care about), but this didn't make much sense and didn't connect to what we've seen of movie-Shadowcat.

That said, I loved the scenes in the future. Didn't mind the lack of lines for the new characters: they were shown to be capable X-Men fighters, caring for one another. They looked the part, I thought they were done really well. The future sentinels were extremely scary and gave a proper thrill to the movie: like never before, the stakes were clear. If they failed in the past, sentinel-future would be the future.
I thought this movie handled the whole concept of mutants vs humans very, very well. Trask was believable with clear rationale and persuasiveness. I was happy that he didn't turn out to be a mutant as well, was afraid that was going to be the case.

Avengers 2 pics.

Everything looks really good, I think Quicksilvers 'normal' clothes are still a tad weird, but I like how he's portrayed, Scarlet Witch looks really cool too.

Also, ULTRRROOONN!!!

Why wont they use the Quicksilver actor from Xmen Days of the Future Pst instead of getting another actor to play as him? :storm:

Because the X-Men movies and Avengers movies are owned by different movie companies, and the companies aren't really friends when it comes to the movies. So this isn't even the same Quicksilver, and neither Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch will be mutants in the Avengers movies because they do not own the rights to call them as such.

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me. I did not know they do not get along. :storm:

Since this is at least based on a Marvel property, I guess it belongs here. I think I said it before but Disney is making Big Hero 6. Due to rights issues they can't use Sunfire or Silver Samurai. But all these characters are from the comics. Here's the official trailer. http://youtu.be/z3biFxZIJOQ

They have said that this is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Add the new 2 concept art pictures to it.

Note that Vision is flying in the air, with his traditional yellow cape and somewhat hard-to-see-but-red boots.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

So what everyone is tweeting is the footage, not the actors in the footage, received a standing O when the teaser was finished. Final scene is Scarlet Witch showing Stark all the Avengers Dead at the hands of Thanos.

I know it's a huge picture, but all I can focus on is Vision floating in the distance xD
He looks like he's commanding them, wouldn't be suprised if he was Ultron's sidekick.

Wanda and Pietro look great aswell! Heck, everyone looks great! (Still waiting for Scarlett to rock the red curls again like she did in Iron man 2, but oh well :P )
