Some experiments from this week: betas for Professor X mannequin, Psylocke mannequin and the Sentry (I'll idolize anyone who makes a Sentry Mod!!!).

Suggestions are welcome.

Sentry:

Good idea for a Sentry skin! :)

In the first pic, there's a patch of flesh on the belt, but there isn't any in the second pic... @_@
My suggestions are:

- paint his cape blue
- give him a big yellow/gold "S" on the belt
- modify the face so he doesn't look too mature...

Thanks, iammingy. Actually, the "flesh" in the belt was an attempt to make the "S" logo over the belt, but it turned out to become symetric and the wrong color. So far, Quicksilver is the only asymetric skin I know besides tommyboy's, perhaps I'll have to work whit it and bolt a cape later.

Gotta find a good face.

I don't think a skin would be good, I think a separate MOD would look great.

Of course it would. The problem I found was figuring out a powerset based on the vague nature of the powers and the anims limitation that has been mentioned in other threads. Haven't resumed the project since that problem came up, mostly because of all the extra work I'm having.

EDIT TO ADD: How about now?

I'm trying, but it still looks awful. I'm working on the Mighty Avengers and Original(first mini) ones, but they'll have to be short hair until:
  a) I find a way to make this skin work with good hair,
  b) find a good long-haired male base mesh, or
  c) somebody comes up with a long hair bolt-on and a way to attach it nicely over the existing skin.

Here is the Sentry 4-pack V.1, including Classic, Mighty Avenger, Original and Void (both from the first Jenkins mini):

He's got his suit colored dark blue/black around his neck. And on the powers subject, I think the way to go would be some kind of mixture with Ms. Marvel and Luke Cage (or Thing). You can mix animations from up to 2 characters, right?

Btw, here's a pic showing the neck stuff.

If this is the case, I think you should definitely use Quicksilver and use a bolton cape... Then, use Ultimate Thor as base for the long hair Sentry (using the same bolton cape).

NOt even Quicksilver is necessary. Just someone with a belt w/ a pattern in the center.

Yup, you're right. In fact, checking Mighty Avengers #1, the cape is the only blue part of the costume, I'll darken everything else later for Mighty, the other two, I like them that way.

I'm not really sure of what to do or with the powerset or how, I'm still in the trial and error stage. I'll work on that after trying the models that iammingy and BliZZ suggested (and finding Ult. Thor's offsets).

EDIT: The cape bolton wasn't so hard, and it moves and anims OK, without the white outline from Magneto's. Now comes the hard part: reskinning Thor (and hope those blue circles are just painted and not a separate part of the model).

Left Thor behind, those glowy circles are really annoying, so I moved on to Quicksilver. So far, it looks good. The first attempts seemed too thin and short, but scaling it to 1.01 worked just fine:

So, what I need now is someone to help me with the face and hair. Here is the latest PNG in case someone wants to work on it:

EDIT: And here's the new 4-skin distribution. Added: Riker's Breakout and Golden Guardian.

Enjoy messing around with them.

Well, Sentry was fun to play, especially with Captain Marvel's and Gladiator's powersets. Now I have a Winter Soldier 3-pack, featuring a more winter-style white costume (from his introduction arc), a funny version of the Bucky costume, and his new star logo, as shown in the latest Captain America issues. Hope you like them (I play them with Nick Fury's powerset).

NOTE: WS uses a double mip for his 256 and 128 textures, one with the stripes and holsters and one regular each, so I had to re-skin it using two MUASkinner entries, one for the regular mips from 512 to 16, and one for the two duplicated ones. That's in case someone else wants to work on him.
