I am a little disappointed that you can not unlock the main baddie after you defeat him. If anyone pre-ordered the game from EB Games or Gamestop you got a code to unlock Venom early plus the code to unlock New Goblin from the demo. So you get two free codes for the game. Also to access the extra powers for the sidekicks you need to hold the X button for one and hold the B button for the other (After you unlock it by collecting 500 tokens). Iammingy enjoy the game also you can play with Iron Fist but not at the beginning you unlock him towards the end of Act 2. The beginning Friends that you can play with are Silver Sable, Prowler and New Goblin(If you unlock him).

How long is this game?  Not just playing time wise, but as far as the number of levels, amount of stuff to do, and overall depth of play.  I hate shelling out $40-$50 for a game that I finish in just a couple of hours with little replay value due to lack of depth of play.
Some day, someone will best me.  But it won't be today, and it won't be you.

There are five acts and each act has four levels. It took my brother and I a good day to play it. There are many places to explore. There are DNA Helixes that you need to find to unlock artwork and game tips and they also have a Vs. mode for two players only and when you go through each level you have a chance to unlock arenas for the Vs. mode to unlock these arenas you need to find a Blue keycard. It is well worth the money and you can also go back and replay levels to get tokens and to get the collectables that you missed the first time. There is alot of replay value, especially to upgrade sidekicks and to upgrade spidy's web moves and damage. Spidey with his Black Suit makes him stronger and he does not take damage as easily either. Some of the levels of some of the Acts are really long and sometimes you wonder if you will ever finish the level. You will most surely not find everything your first play through because the action is so much that you almost forget to look for things. :)

This game looks good, but can someone tell me how it plays. If its a good buy or not, I don't want to waste 50 dollars on a game that I dont like. thanks

Well, you might want to check reviews around the internet. I like Gamespot's, personally. You can find player reviews in gamefaqs.com, too.

It's not gonna be as long as MUA. It should be easier to finish the game, too. I think the demo is a pretty good sneak peek at what game looks like.

It is worth the $50. It is easier than MUA in a sense that you do not have so many powers to deal with but Spidey does have many web moves to fight with. The gameplay is much like the demo except more indepth. I find it very fun and entertaining and I have unlocked everything and all achievements for the 360 which are a total of 12. I do hope that they make DLC for this game because it does deserve it. You dont have to micro manage powers in this game like in MUA.

nice, I just checked out the reviews and I'm probably gonna get it. And yea i hope they make DLC for it. I'm surprised they only have 12 acheivements for it, they must give u like 50 or 75 gamer points right? I hope it's not one of those games that u can finish i n like a day or two though, i want it to be a little long, and challenging

There is a total of 1000 gamer points for the game. Also you may be able to pass it in one day it took more than 12 hours for my brother and I to finish it but you will need to return to other levels to get what u missed and to upgrade your characters and that maybe another day or two depending on how busy you are. It is as challenging as you make it.

sounds pretty good, what difficulty were u and ur brother playing on? I take it u had to go back and get the items u missed?

There is only one difficulty level AFAIK and yes we had to go back to get things because not everything is noticable the first time thru because of all of the action going on.

so I take it it's worth getting?
