I thought it was great too, I'm not really a fan of Thor in comics, but the movie made him one of my favorites now. The theater wasn't packed, so I'm worry it won't have a strong opening here in the US, movies like this are usually packed and you have to form a line just to get in. Word of mouth should will help it out since most critics gave it a B or higher, and I've heard mostly positive reviews from non-critics.
Please search the forum before asking a question. I dont answer
PMs about modding, those questions should be posted in a public thread.

haha, he's always been my favourite. glad people here are finally getting why. people at the forum have always been oriented more towards the mutant part of the marvel universe. but the avengers part is soooooo good too.

"Beneath this mask there are ideals and ideals are bulletproof."

I have always liked some of the Avengers, but I dont like others... Cap to me is stupid, Thor is pretty cool, Wasp and Ant Man seem lame to me also, Spiderwoman and Ms Marvel I like, It just depends for me

If there's one thing I've learned, is that every character has the potential to be interesting, if whoever's writing their stories has a good handle on them. For example, I always thought Cyclops was kind of lame and boring until I read [Avengers movie director] Josh Whedon's Astonishing X-Men.
And even if it's not the best written series I've seen, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes has completely made me understand the appeal of Wasp and Hank Pym as part of that team, which makes me sad that they probably won't be in the Avengers movie.

Speaking about Hank Pym, for those who saw Thor: you know that part in the movie where they made a not so subtle reference to Bruce Banner? The other professor that was mentioned, the one who was going to be e-mailed for info on SHIELD? When I watched that scene, I thought "that guy must be Hank Pym!", which was confirmed by Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios' president):
(WATCH OUT FOR POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!)

I've always liked Wasp but don't really care too much for Hank Pym. As for Cyclops I actually preferred the boring type he was in the 90s. To me that is the true Cyclops and I really don't mind that he is/was boring. I have no care for the current dictator Cyclops that is currently in comics. Its actually pretty funny that in the 90s he had more friends than he does right now. The only person who is on his side is Emma Frost and that is only because she has been watered down into Cyke's trophy wife.

BTW I've seen this poster with Wasp and Ant-Man and I don't think its fanart. Hopefully that means they will be in the film.

Oh, it's definitely fan art.

You see, it's made of a bunch of promotional material (Cap and Thor are actually the first concept art of their movie costumes, not even the real actors in costumes).
Hawkeye probably won't use a costume in Avengers, since he didn't wear one in Thor, and that costume and pose are based on a now classic Hawkeye cover (when Bullseye was posing as him, btw. http://screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/jeremy-renner-is-hawkeye-in-the-avengers-movie.jpg). It's a great photoshop, anyways.
The Hulk image is also fan art (http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/features/amazing-hulk-fan-art.php).
I don't know who the head of the Wasp is, but her body is a flipped and rotated version of this cosplay girl (http://images.cosplay.com/photos/22/2262144.jpg).
And I'm not sure, but it seems to me that Ant-Man is a drawing.

Also, this:

The guy who made the poster did an amazing job, no wonder you thought it was official! But, I've been following all news of these movies ever since I saw Iron Man, and if they released a poster for the Avengers, I would know within the day. So far, the only thing they've shown is a photo of some "behind the scenes" chairs that say "Iron Man", "Thor", "Captain America" and "Hulk".

The reason I'm lead to believe that there won't be a Wasp or Hank Pym in the Avengers, is because they've been planning an Ant-Man movie for a long time, set to be written and directed by Edgar Wright (Shawn of the Dead), and he gave the latest draft of the script to Marvel Studios a couple of weeks ago, so there hasn't even been auditions for that movie. Then again, he might have been helping Marvel with some secret auditions for both Ant-Man and Avengers...

Its too bad that the poster is fanart. I was really looking forward to seeing Wasp and Hank Pym in the Avengers film. The original team won't feel the same without those two.

This is the only promotional image specifically made for Avengers released so far. It was released the first day of filming. I expect more in the weeks around the opening of Captain America. Or, if the guys at Marvel are really a-holes, during the openings of Green Lantern or First Class :P

You can also see that the Hulk in the poster is from the first movie which didnt do so well, then they made the new one so if they use a design of Hulk it will most likely be one that is close to the new one, and if an antman movie comes out maybe Wasp will be in it

Actually, that Hulk is from neither of those movies, it's made by swedish artist Jonas Thornqvist: http://jonas.cgsociety.org/gallery/629792/

Oh sorry lol, he looks almost just like this Hulk
