I have to say that I'm not too excited about him. yes he did an acceptable job (in my opinion) on the first 2 x-movies, but I hated his version of Rogue... a teen? really? she's a southern belle, not a teenager.
I know that the marvel movies are based on the Ultimate Universe but come on, some things must remain as the earth 616 universe.
Haha but nothing worse that X3 Phoenix (no fiery bird) and Xmen origins diamond girl (NOT Emma Frost). I really hated both.

yeah, the first two x2 movies were good and i was too young to understand the whole concept when x1 and x2 were released but i can see now why , despite the box office success. also, they changed a lot of elements in a bad way! i personally thought halle could do better, and the plot line was just too messy. it felt like it were all rushed! the dude's done superman returns and valkyrie (with tom cruise) which are two movies that i actually liked! im not sure about this but maybe casting a director who's not just up for the pay but is also a huge x-men fan can GREATLY CONTRIBUTE. like seriously!

Cool thing is in First Class we are most likely going to see Jean with her incredible powers. So maybe a Phoenix Raptor.

X-men first Class will be directed by Matthew Vaughn and produced by Brian Singer. and the main plot is:

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN.

As it's First Class, we can expect to see Cyclops, Angel, Jean Grey, and Iceman too, and I'm almost sure that Storm and Wolverine will be included as well, but I'm surprised (and pleased) to see new characters as Mystique and (especially ^^) Emma Frost joining to the cast.
Also this gave me an idea of, more or less, the plot and the roles of each character will have.
For example, Magneto, Xavier and Moira will be the ones that will recruit new mutants, while Mystique, Emma Frost and Beast (and Cyclops, Angel, etc) will be their students.

Nothing more about this, but definately I'll keep an eye on this project, especially since my beloved White Queen is in ^^

So Mystique and Emma are students. That is suprising. I can't wait to see the actress and actor who play Jean and Scott.

yeah i think an new x-men based movie would be cool. with all the kitty and iceman type as teachers now though. new x-men is my favorite team of x-men for some reason. they just sort of resonate with me

New-Xmen (Morrison era) is also my favorite team. The 90's also has a special place in my heart too, but I would like to see modern stories and the new generation (Pixie, Hellion, Mercury).
Astonishing Xmen would be cool too.
And yeah, it appears that the movie will be related mainly to Xavier and Magneto.

I was thinking...much for my sadness, not much has been confirmed or told about the upcoming Deadpool film. All I found is this, I quote from Wikipedia: On May 5, 2009, 4 days after the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a spin-off for Ryan Reynolds' character Deadpool  was greenlit, with Reynolds reprising his role and Lauren Shuler Donner producing. In an interview with Empire, Donner stated that she wants the Deadpool film to ignore the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, "because this guy talks, obviously, and to muzzle him would be insane." She also confirmed that Deadpool will have the attributes that the character has in the comics, such as breaking the fourth wall. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been hired to write the script.

i actually think it the movie's gonna get the green light but as a future project. they're probably gonna give deadpool a brilliant little plot in the wolverine movie sequel to warm up the public about him, and perhaps after that, start with a deadpool movie.

That's like spoiling the whole movie. It shouldn't have been said so the fans would be surprised. I bet it'll appear in the trailer aswell.
