Great mod.

I was taking a look at the last posts, that skin (http://images.wikia.com/marveldatabase/images/6/69/Iceman_Vol_2_2_Textless.jpg) would be awesome.

Can I ask something? =\
I like it more to see the ice slide the way it is. But I also like the ice-shield and the skins.

Is there anyway I can install only the extra skins?

Ok, I just checked. Here are all of Iceman's power from XML2:

Freeze Beam - Sends out a beam, freezing enemies for a time. Can build bridges
- Already in MUA
Ice Shards - Throws shards of ice at enemies, inflicting COLD DMG
- Already in MUA
Ice Slide - Slides on an ice sled, damaging and slowing hit enemies
- Already in MUA
Ice Gloves - Gives self and allies ice gloves for a time adding COLD DMG to melee attacks and increasing ATK
- Already in MUA
Cold Crush - Ice projectile. Freezes target, slows in radius. Can build bridges
- Similar to MUA's Polar Explosion
Ice Armor - Armor takes damage instead of Iceman. Also damages and slows melee attackers
- Similar to MUA's Frigid Aura except for the part where it take damage for Iceman
COLD SNAP - Xtreme cold attack damaging everything in sight. Nearby enemies are frozen, more distant enemies are slowed
- Similar to my version of Deep Freeze in this upgrade
Slow Beam - Sends out a beam, slowing enemies. Can build bridges
- Not in MUA, but you don't need this when you have Freeze Beam and Ice Shard.
Arctic Burst - Radial blast of cold which damages and slows enemies
- Not in MUA, but it's just a sucky radial form of Slow Beam

So, it boils down to these two:

Ice Pillar - Blast ice pillars from the ground, damaging enemies and popping them up
- Not in MUA
ICE SIDEKICK - Spawn a minion to fight alongside party for a time
- Not in MUA

The Iceman in MUA can hold one more power. Which one do you guys like?

ice pillar!! :nod:
Icons made by me(i could only pick the best b/c of ltr limit):

Yes, you can.
Make sure that this file from the Upgrade is NOT installed on your computer:
..\data\powerstyles\ps_iceman.engb
Don't delete the original ps_iceman.engb from your computer though.

Doing this will only add the 2 extra skins. All the other updates (tripping ice beam, ice-slide tracks, ice-shield for blocking, Xtreme can damage boss) will not show up. I think that should do the trick. :)

Ice Pillar - PLEASE don't give us that dumb sidekick power :P

I thought he only had 7 powers and an xtreme. I know the characters can hold up to 9 powers and an xtreme (tried it with one of the characters).

Yes, Iceman has 7 powers and 1 Xtreme. The problem is MUA keyboard players only have keys for 8 powers and 1 Xtreme and they don't have gamepad's "use power" key. XML2 has that key, but the developers took it out of MUA!!!!

:soapbox:

I see. I'm not trying to be a troublemaker or anything, but I have given one of my characters 9 powers, with one xtreme (okay, I just meddled with an existing character) but he has 9 and an xtreme. I'll post some pictures of it this weekend (my week is busy :( ).

Yeah, I know what you mean. Since I play MUA with keyboard most of the time, I can't make a mod that ignores the keyboard players... haha

Take your time. Thanks in advance. :)

Personally I don't see why a character needs more then eight powers... I mean, pretty soon they just become edited versions of the same powers *shrug*

I still say Cold Crush though ;) flip up AND slow :D

Ice Pillar would be cool, as would be the the Frigid Aura that causes slipping.

Could you add an icy effect to his 3rd light attack? It's the one that makes him slide forward. As in for the sliding part not damage.
Please do not contact me for any help in modding-related matters.
It is likely that you'll find what you need by searching the forum.

I use a keyboard too. I can't afford to use anything else lol. Here are some screenshots. To explain, having beaten the game, I use the game to tinker with the powers and such just for fun, so alot of things will seem out of place (like Hud icons and skins). Also, I tinkered with mods, once I installed them so see what I could do with them.

At the bottom of the screen, he has 9 powers and a slot for an xtreme. The menu screen shows these as well, but I was short on time (I got distracted and started uploading pics from other things, like having th characters fight each other and other stuff.

This is Luke Cage, who I changed to into Grey Gargoyle.

Grey Garyole turns on the team and takes them out (from some time ago, when I tested this out on Captain Marvel (Luke Cage was not loaded up at the time so Cap Marvel had to serve as a specimen for my experiments). I'm not sure if this is a big deal or not, since I saw someone talking about this on a thread. This is as far as I got with this.

Here, Grey Gargoyle turns on the team, using a modified version of Dr. Strange's team switch. Human Torch, Multiple Man, and Mr. Fantastic (with a Morph skin lol) are the victims. Human Torch and Mr. Fantastic put up a serious fight (I tried not to turn them into stone at first).

The pairing of Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch was ridiculous. I couldn't get a hit in at one point.

Mr. Fantastic as had enough

Human Torch brings the fight to Gargoyle.

A second round was fought: Same result.

I'm still working out damage (they couldn't damage me (they could knock me about and such) but I could harm them). I think I know of a way they could deal damage to me, but I would have to get to that later on, since I'm busier these days than before.

I noticed that I could do this with Mulitple man's copies, which is nothing special. However, I know that team switch can be done so that everyone on your team switches, but can still attack bad guys. I think this works on them and so they will follow you, but that is something I have not given a try yet (I replaced that power in Dr. Strang e with something else and gave team switch to another character not currently loaded. I was planning on looking it over later).

It depends on the character, really. I can see how Wolvie can have a limited number, but Iceman, or Human Torch, or X-man can have a few extra. For shapeshifters, yes, some of the powers may be multiple copies of the same one, but this adds more variety to them (as well as more skins to change into---but I'm getting ahead of myself lol).

In any case, Ice pillar sounds cool, or a radial freeze that, is caused by Iceman punching the ground once. It would have less damage than a regular freeze but it would be useful in crowded situations.

Thanks for the pics!!!
So, how do you assign a key for power 9?

ps. I see so many alpha channels of the textures in these screenshots!!! haha.

LOL Yeah, alot of the stuff is unrefined.

As for adding a 9th power, all you have to do is change the icon value to the what the Xtreme's icon value is, and name the added power whatever the icon value power is, usually power9. Then with the xtreme, increase the icon value by one, and do the same with the power value. In other words:

Added power:
For iceman, icon = 8 ;
name = power 9 ;

And for the xtreme:
icon = 9 ;
name = power10 ;

This is done in the powerstyle. You will do the same thing in the talent file as well. a fun fact with the powers: They can go past 10 (one of my characters has a power named power11 by accident without problem), so I think even more can be added. I bet the limit is 26 or 27 powers. Once I figure out the limit on powers, I'll be sure to post something. Hope this helps.
